Felix and Martha reached out to our team looking for a way to cool down their third-floor office, which was unbearably warm during the hotter months. They didn’t want to insulate from the outside, which is often a go-to method in preexisting homes. Instead, they were already planning to renovate the space—so we got to work from the inside out.
Complete Interior Demolition
We completely gutted the room, removing drywall and exposing the wall and ceiling cavities to prepare the space for proper insulation.
Custom Spray Foam Installation
- Walls: 3.5 inches of spray foam insulation
Ceiling: 7 inches of foam for maximum heat resistance

The Results: Noticeable Comfort the Very Next Day
For the final finish, we used a Sherwin-Williams paint color called “Ida White,” which provided a clean, bright look that complemented the room’s updated feel. We also added soundproofing batt insulation throughout the entire wall, which made a noticeable difference—especially important since the new wall backed up to the garage.
